Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event section of the Tallinn International Film Festival is the region’s biggest film and project market, where thousands of film industry professionals from all over the world meet regularly and where many movies start their international career before their premiers.
This year, in the competition of “almost ready” films there were four Latvian films, and the main award for the best Baltic project went to Liene Linde’s “Black Velvet”, produced by “Ego Media” in coproduction with Lithuanian “Tremora”.
Jury statement: We award this film for its insightful and never self-indulgent look at our existential anxieties.
